You're digging through the mire and I'm a stuck up eyesore.
With sun kissed lips, you're an angel hurting.
The seasons breath, and the world is turning round, and round.
The clouds hold rain and won't give it away
until you're wrapped in her reasons
The soil we layed, left washing away is sobering, if nothing else.
Our Hawthorne axed, still the grass is growing
like needles in the back of our memories and
I'm a fool to start, I'm a fool to stop.
I know, I know
I'm stuck in place, and lying awake.
Why can't my mind just say nothing?
Instead it creeks, and it shakes, and it leads me in waves,
reminding me I was someone once.
